My name is Edyta Niewinska.
I specialise in analysing screenplays, teaching screenwriting and coaching for filmmakers.

Edyta Niewinska is a passionate advocate for the cinematic arts, with a career marked by a deep commitment to film industry. Since 2018, Edyta has served as a Jury and Committee Member for the prestigious Premios ASECAN. This role allowed Edyta to contribute significantly to the recognition of outstanding works within the Andalusian film community.
In 2021, Edyta expanded her influence as a Jury Member for the 18th International Film Festival in Sevilla, Spain, further solidifying her reputation as a discerning judge of cinematic excellence. The following year, Edyta’s expertise was sought at the Short Movies Festival in Vejer de la Frontera, where they presided over the Vejer Express section, showcasing their dedication to promoting innovative short-form narratives.
In 2023, Edyta took on the dual role of Selection Committee Member and Mentor at the GENERAMMA Film Festival in Chiclana de la Frontera, guiding emerging screenwriters through the complexities of storytelling. This experience underscored Edyta’s belief in the power of mentorship and the importance of supporting the next generation of filmmakers.
Additionally, Edyta has shared her knowledge through various masterclasses and workshops, including "Mujeres que documentan el mundo" at the Documentary Film Festival Alcances and screenwriting workshops for adolescents at IES La Janda.
In 2024 Edyta directs the short film "DOLORES", deeply touching journey over the end of the mourning period. With an impressive array of contributions to the film industry, Edyta remains a vital force in fostering creativity and innovation within the cinematic landscape.
My superpower is analysing screenplays and identifying what isn't working, what needs to be fixed, and what can be just thrown out. I cast a very critical eye’, because I believe that we only want good stories, and we want them to be told in an interesting, intriguing way.
And my job is to make sure it works exactly this way.
Script doctoring
I am a script doctor, working individually with film directors and screenwriters in three languages: Spanish, Polish and English. I have vast experience of consulting for feature films and series, from concept through to final script, as well as consulting on documentary film concepts and ideas.
Teaching
I also teach screenwriting, collaborating with various institutions across Andalusia, including private and public schools, film festivals and organisations. I additionally offer screenwriting workshops and/or masterclasses, and I am available to mentor screenwriters throughout the process of crafting a screenplay.
Consulting
I consult writers and their X draft of the script. My daily work consists mainly of one-on-one script consultations (which can last several hours), as well as shorter consultations with different clients. Furthermore, I am available to mentor the screenwriters during the process of creating or writing their first screenplay or treatment of film or series.
When it comes to the film industry, I have worked on productions for the indie film market in Poland, consulted on multiple scripts in both Poland and Spain, and have collaborated as an assistant to film producers from India and Poland for various pre-productions.
On a more personal level, I have written three novels – all of which have been published in Poland, and the last of which I have adapted for screen as a feature film. My series project is currently being reviewed by BBC producers.
In 2024, I directed the short film DOLORES, based on my own script. In 2025, I am directing two short films and co-directing a theatre play.
I am a certified coach and expert in emotional intelligence. I have a master’s degree in sociology of art, with a thesis focused on video-art.
I have international NGOs (CCIVS, SCI) certification and experience as a trainer, designing and providing workshops and trainings, using non-formal education tools.
I work with my clients based on the potential, knowledge, and skills they display.
